Lol, not another SGS mention...you should be on their books. Jokes aside, the SGS is most definitely not a Waldorf, which I think has a lot less rooms...and then you are it seems a regular at the SGS, which always helps.
It's really not uncommon in Asia for service-oriented hotels to extend check-out into the evening for guests with late flights. The fact that the WA Bangkok wouldn't give you anything does not speak well of its service standards.
