Those Schuko adapters are nice, but they won't fit in standard Italian outlets. Most hotel rooms will have at least one "multipasso" outlet that will take a German plug, but older hotels and a lot of private residences have only the standard Italian "bipasso" that takes 10/16A Italian plugs and the small Europlug but not the French or German grounded plugs.

For Italy, you're better off with an Italian-specific adapter like this one
