4:00 pm is industry standard for luxury hotels. I would feel totally comfortable requiring a 16:00 check out from this hotel, regardless of status. If they said no, I would remind them that all of their next door neighbors up and down Rajadamri Road routinely offer the same.
I don’t agree that 4pm is the norm, especially without status. It is usually the status that makes 4pm the norm, but 2pm is I think generally acceptable.
