Here's a 6-pack of them for $7. Hard to beat. The only downside is that they're so low-profile you may leave them behind. So don't take just one!
These type of adaptors do work well, but with one proviso. If you are plugging in an American device that has one male plug larger than the other (typically for higher amperage draws, to assure polarity), then this specific model won't work. Both female vertical plugs are the same (smaller) size.
