I am going to be flying CebuPacific CEB-SIN in a couple of months, connecting on a separate ticket to JetStar. Would very much like to avoid going "landside" through immigration/customs twice (as it's a relatively short overnight connection, and I really plan to sleep at the airside hotel).

I noticed several news items on Cebu "enforcing new carryon limits" from summer 2018. So, anyone with recent experience on them (as in the last few months) - how's the carryon checks/enforcement, esp. from CEB?
