100% an RDU thing in this case

RDU really is a strange focus city (and I say all of this having lived here most of my life and now back again as an ex-RDU based FO, GM and now PM). IME the "front of the house" (e.g., the desk agents pre-security) is horrible -- bag checking takes forever even if SKY, for some reason we are back to RDU being a 45 minute cut-off city for baggage checks (which makes absolutely no sense -- airport isn't that big), and bags can take forever to come out (and they don't seem to care at all about status -- though recently they seem to have mostly improved just enough to get my bag out at ~T-17 so no miles claim opportunity).

On the flip side the folks in the SC are amazing and the vast majority of the GAs are great -- plus the actual flights, including RDU - CDG and CDG - RDU, are great.
