Suppose the short answer is yes, but EF seat diagrams for QF are, at best, misleading. There may well be bookings which do not have seat allocations and QF may quarantine front end seats for crew. I’d only start to get hopeful on upgrades a few hours before departure unless I had a CL or P1 card.
