Everything people say about the 742s is true, I'm afraid--for me, the biggest disadvantage is the absence of a personal video screen. This also means that the bulkheads, which would otherwise be very popular, are less than desirable since they're generally non-viewing. My personal recommendation would be the upper deck (which is WT), where the service is good, and the bulkhead on the right hand side of the aircraft has a view of the video.

Also, you may wish to check in at the airport rather than by telephone, since they often have operational upgrades on this route--I've had 4 in the last two years, and I'm just a blue cardholder.
