I've posted some of this before on a not hugely relevant thread but never really got he answer I wanted (my fault) so here goes again, hopefully you guys can help......

I'm flying LHR-BOS and back in April.
Are they all 747-200s still or can I expect a 777 or 744?

I'm on a Sunday 16:05 to BOS and a Wed 20:20 to LHR

What are the best seats to choose on 742, 744 or 777? I'm in coach but BA Silver so should get a reasonable choice. I might even give online check in a whirl as I am on an e-ticket and hand baggage only.
