I would still get a background report and LN report on yourselves. There maybe ID mixup issues that you may not know about. Also, have you or your roommate, ever worked for a company that may have had some issues.
Also, Don't have high expectations from the EO, chances are they are going to tow the line and give you a generic response. I would consider having an attorney write to them for answers. That always lights a fire under them.
