Sadly, yes, I'll have a checked bag, which I realize might (or WILL) throw a wrench into things.
If I indicate the desire to fly standby on the earlier FRA-HAJ flight, would they give a departure management card in ORD, along with my boarding pass for the later flight? Perhaps even tag the bags for the possible standby? Or is that asking too much.
