You're right - sorry about that.

I looked at the AA website .... it has no non-800 number (that I can find), so I did a quick 'yellow pages' search - 2 different sites gave that number for "American Airlines Reservations and Ticketing" (amidst a whole bunch of numbers for American Airlines Center, which I think is the sports arena in Dallas). As I thought I 'recognized' the number (i.e., the 800 number with the area code changed...) I proferred that as the answer....

Now that I look at it again, I realize the 800 number is 800-443-7300 and that number is 940-433-7300. A search of the Verizon yellow pages for Dallas reveals an AA number (the first one in the list) of 972 574-6200 .... and if you call that one (which I just did) .... nobody answers and it just rings and rings.....

Who'd think AA would make it so difficult for anyone to find a non-800 number to call their resevations? I'm sure the back of the Aadvantage (EXP) card used to have a non-800 "local" number .. but now that I look, that too is gone. Sorry.....
