Not quite. To the left and right of the arriving pax area are escalators to Level 6. You don't have to walk the entire length of Level 5 to get to Level 6.
According to the plans the south side security will be removed entirely (along with the bridge checkpoint ) and the new security area entrances will be on the east & west sides of level 6 at north end so you’re basically walking the entire length of the terminal when coming in from the transit center no matter what. Then post security you come back towards the center (thru the new mall shops) before going down to the terminal trains.
Thats a far, far further walk than what’s required now.
