I didn’t know I could check my baggage through to london. Thanks for the tip. I haven’t yet checked in for my BA flight however as it’s not open yet. Will that be a problem?

If there is a flight to change to, then it is easier not to check in as you should be able to do the change yourself. As mentioned, that would be much more difficult [or impossible] if you have QR through check the luggage. If there's no other flight option, you might as well because that transfer is not going to happen.

We did this transiting ARN a couple of weeks back - I was able to change flight using the onboard wifi [justabout!] once we were wheels up from DOH, and we merely carted the bags from T5 to T2. The guy in front of us at SIN seemed to be having them check his bag through onto another itinerary - though I don't think his was ARN, unlike at least five others who went QR169>BA777 with us!
