So is there now upgrade space available on a flight where you are waitlisted? At least my experience is that in such cases the waitlisted upgrade has cleared automatically, but the new ticket needs to be issued by CS and that might take some time. And yes, the app has offered me to re-upgrade, until I've received the new ticket.
