I am no expert on this, but yes it's far and there are also places that are father. Maybe a pilot or flight planner can weigh in.
I think I've seen flight paths go over the north pole or very close to it. The distance (in minutes) to the various airfields depends on the wind, too, so "is place X too far from an airfield" is not possible to answer universally.
