100%, Most Definitely, No Doubt...Hong Kong. Before I visited both cities a few weeks ago, I was told to make my stay in Bangkok as short as possible. I had heard the same stories before about other cities and they were not so accurate. But Bangkok was dead on. The most pollution I have ever seen. It smells like gas 24 hours a day. The heat will kill you. I went in December and it was 90s. The people that have retained all of their limbs and sockets are wonderful, but the millions who stand on the street corners asking for money are too much. It is a sad sight. Just a thought...The Thai Islands are only about a $100-$150 RT flight on Thai and they are fabulous (Koh Phi Phi)...Nice bungalow about $50/night in high season snorkeling and diving and everything you could want minus the sadness of the big city. I was there for 4 days and spent about $275 total including $200 in lodging. Koh Phi Phi is the beautiful island group where they filmed The Beach.-
