Re: Location - W Koh Samui is also 'away' from the action and of course there's lots to explore on Ibiza other than Ibiza town, so perhaps they are going for that. Someone jokingly mentioned W Mykonos upthread but I could see Marriott considering something there too, and away from Mykonos Town. W Vierques also springs to mind...
