Yes. I believe the nose gear was lengthened eight inches.

Not sure what Airbus did to accommodate the larger engines on the 32Ns.

Just remember the engines on the 737-100/200s and even the 737-300/400/500s are much smaller than the LEAP 1Bs. So even if they moved the MAX engines forward, relative to the NGs, the handling and flight characteristics are going to be drastically different since the engines are heavier than the old ones.
