Another thing to consider is that AC fairly heavily markets "all aisle access". They'd need to come up with some other branding that wouldn't confuse passengers if they were to do the typical 2-2 you see down south.

My opinion, however, is mostly indifference. For a SFO-YYZ red-eye, I want a pod. Every other flight, I just don't get the benefit on a 5 hour flight to justify any kind of premium. And if I'm traveling with someone, I'd actually prefer the recliner. It's quite rare I really want to sleep on a my non-redeye transcons, and while I do love the "relax" mode of the executive pods, I don't think I would pay $300 for the privilege.
