I completed a stay here earlier this month and in the absence of direction regarding renaming this thread or starting a new one, I'll just post a quick review here:
  • Hotel wasn't showing availability in the nights leading up to my reservation, and having not used any SNAs I mentally ruled out an upgrade and settled on the inland view room I booked. Upon arrival at 9:00 PM, I was welcomed with a welcome drink and towel by friendly staff, informed of an upgrade to a suite in their adults-only wing and escorted to the room.
  • The adults-only wing is a small, four-story separate wing linked to the main building, and only contains suites [the ones on the ground floor have private pools, which really are aquariums given how on display they are to everyone above and on the main pool deck just beyond]. The one I was given was expansive, with a living room with four-seater dining table and half bathroom, a bedroom with lots of cabinets and a large five-fixture bathroom with chromotherapy [color-changing lights to enhance mood]. A large, furnished sea-facing balcony connected the two rooms. The décor was beautiful in grey and blue, and everything was constructed and furnished to extremely high standards. My only complaint is the with light and climate switches, which are all controlled by fussy touch panels.
  • Breakfast was included in my rate, so I took that at the main restaurant as described. Welcome gift was points; not sure what the local amenity was.
  • Breakfast spread was excellent, with everything from separate stations for breads, cheeses, greens, desserts and hot foods to an egg counter. I had dinner at Dafne, the on-site Greek restaurant, and enjoyed the fresh options.
  • The hotel's pools are beautiful but nippy - staff told me the indoor and main outdoor ones were heated but they felt colder than the 23 degrees I was told they were. The adults-only pool has several built-in seats and a nice deep end, but is not heated. The hotel renderings show a large crescent-shaped beach, but this was a scrubby little patch of brown sand and dirt when I was there. Maybe this will be built in a later stage?
  • Service was great - staff take great pride in their property and the concierge specifically made great recommendations for things to do across the island. Super-friendly staff at breakfast too.
  • As expected for Limassol and a luxury-brand hotel, the crowd was... 'interesting,' with gaggles of Eastern European and Asian guests with heavily-branded designer clothing/baggage that berate service staff, take their time at the breakfast buffet stations and are all-around loud. You know, that kind.
All in all, a beautiful property that should satisfy all of one's luxury cravings on this fabulous island.
