I understand there isn't enough time to visit Kuranda properly, but maybe something like taking the cableway in, spending 60 min in Kuranda (maybe at the Koala garden, then getting an Uber back to Cairns (or the airport) ? It'll be a rushed visit, but it may be the only chance I have to visit Kuranda for a while.
Far too rushed IMHO. Consequences if you miss the flight?
With a flight at 13:30 need to be at airport for check-in at 12:30 or sooner. A better to have a margin of safety getting to the airport.
A lot of people take the train one way and the cableway the other. You could leave luggage at the hotel an pick up on the way to the airport.
