She went to the 24 hour medical and dental clinic for visitors that is part of Cuba’s National System of Public Healy at

Clínica Central Cira García

The writer showed her passport to prove foreign residency and her boarding pass as proof she had paid for the required medical insurance for visitors.

For the crown reinstallation the bill was for CUC 50.00, but the health insurance reduced that to 59%, so CUC 25.00. She was quite satisfied with her treatment and the speed of access to care, and her dentist spoke good English.
My wife suffered a dislocated shoulder in Havana, went to Ciro Garcia hospital. Too late to snap it back in place. Had surgery under total anesthesia, spent 10 hours in the hospital, the treating physician and two nurses kept in contact with us in the waiting room all day long. The surgery was successful, and the charge for everything was zero. We did have to pay 19 CUC for post-surgery medication.

I gave the surgeon 20 CUC as a tip (imagine trying to tip the surgeon in the U.S.!), which he gladly accepted.
