We travel to Europe wit a guide dog and take a 5 lb bag of UNOPENED dry food with us. Typically you are limited to importing 2 kg of dog food. We then buy food with similar ingredients and mix it so the dog adapts to the new food. Look at customs rules of the country. We had no problem with bringing food to Germany, and several other countries.
