Muji Ginza is open. I think I'd stay at the Centric for 35,900 円 2 guests with breakfast if the narrow types were the only room types available.
??!!??????MUJI HOTEL???!!?????????????????????

Pros:
  • Nice bathroom with sink inside bathroom and in the hallway useful for two people.
  • Muji touches with aroma humidifier, books, wood paneling, and skincare.
  • Prime location.
  • Better than average business hotel breakfast if you like Japanese breakfasts.
  • Easy access to healthy looking food. Looks to have juice bar, bakery, cafe, restaurant, and salon.
  • Built in remote controlled AC? (Offers touch menu in English... depends on if it works decently but seems to have a setting for 15 C for those who like it cold)
Cons:
  • Very narrow for the price. Not sure if there's room to open a clamshell check-in luggage or passing in the hall when bathroom door is open.
  • No "extra" amenities like bath salt for such a nice bathroom?
  • Tiny round trash can. The air purifier is larger than the rubbish bin as usual. They could have at least gone with a rectangular one which would fit a used Muji shopping bag.
  • Small business hotel sized window.
The Muji Diner in B1 is open for breakfast at 7:30 am so I may give that a try if I have an early-ish arrival while staying in the neighborhood https://hotel.muji.com/ginza/en/facilities/ . The 6th floor Wa restaurant also takes dinner reservations online (JP). I'm a bit sad that the produce section seems to be gone as it was a nice place to pick up good leafy greens (salad for breakfast b/c I eat what I want for other meals. Guess I'll check depato's for kale next time). The reviewer also notes in blog that the check-in staff was mostly foreign when he checked in and they seem to be having some minor grand opening service hiccups.

Muji also opened their largest in Japan based flagship store in Osaka last year "Muji Sakai Kita Hanada" https://shop.muji.com/jp/sakai-kitahanada/

* Why yes, yes I watch Japanese travel vloggers and don't speak the language. Onoda-san's covered plenty of domestic air & hotel travel and Suit Train covers rail.
