Be aware that anything that doesn't fit under the seat in front, and therefore might hinder the egress of a passenger in an emergency, is unlikely to be allowed on BA. Other airlines are more relaxed, and as I've mentioned elsewhere we did get away with a toddler cushion seat extender in a window seat on a long haul flight.
