Data point: Picked up a car in Amarillo, plans changed, had to return it in Wichita. Was told the drop fee would be $1,000. Haven’t seen the final bill yet. I’m told this is because the Amarillo TX location is an independent Budget franchise, so their cars don’t “float” through the system.
