For the 1st question, I'd like clarify my point. I wanted to ask if I need to store laptop in the safe ?
(and not whether it can be stored in the safe). In Indonesia and other SE Asian counties (and most any other places too), I put my passport, wallet and cash in the safe but have never felt it necessary to put my laptop into the safe. Just wondering if it is to be on the safe side, or was there any reason for this particular hotel why we should store laptop in safe ?
