Is baggage handling getting worse?

In the last 60 days, I've had:
  • Bags not properly loaded on 3 different trips when there was no re-routing involved. Sure, the two connections where they didn't make it were tight (<60 minutes) but both legal and reasonable (I easily made the connections). The third time, one bag failed to load at the origin, even though our other bags were loaded. These 3 occurrences don't include the two other times it happened late in 2018.
  • Bags not loaded on 2 different trips where I was re-routed due to MX. Per the AAgents, they can't rebook you on new flights without >60 minutes notice (supposedly, so the baggage handlers have time to move the bags). However, both times they failed to move the bags.
  • Bags destroyed on 2 different trips.
I can't say it's specific to one location as the mishandled bags were done in 4 different hubs plus 1 origin location. The destroyed bags were in different origins/connections/destinations as well.
