Can you go to Heathrow T2A if your connecting flight is at T2B?

Hi,

A friend of mine has a connecting flight at Heathrow T2B, and I will have a flight around the same time at T2A, can he come to T2A to see me before his flight without going through passport/security control ?
Or, can I go to the T2B while my flight is at T2A?
