I will have family members flying between Qatar and the UK 4-6 return trips per year.
My first priority is to earn some status to make my trips more comfortable, second priority is to earn miles from my and my family's travel.

Should I focus on membership, earning status via the BA Executive Club or Qatar Privilege Club.
Welcome to FT globalexeccoach;

First, there is a same exact thread related to the same topic in the Qatar Privilege Club forum so it would be useful that the moderators could close this thread and merge with the other one.

My advise to you would be that if you would mostly fly Qatar Airways, collect miles at Privilege Club as you would have more privileges when flying QR as well as better award availability. However, if you are planning to use British Airways or other oneworld partners, in most circumstances and Qatar Airways in several occasions where it won't be your top priority; credit your miles to BAEC where you would earn more miles compared to Privilege Club on most other oneworld partners. Also be aware that 8-9 BA roundtrip DOH-LHR tickets in Premium Economy would make you Gold ( top tier if we exclude Concorde Club) in British Airways Executive Club. With 5-6 BA roundtrip PE flights to LHR and with 4-5 QR roundtrip Y flights to Europe; you would definitely be Gold in British Airways.
