Beaches on Maui Closed Due to High Bacteria Counts
A few days ago, Kanaha Beach near the airport was closed. Now one of the best beaches in Kihei is closed:

I suspect wastewater and the county's love of injection wells for effluent disposal is to blame. Meanwhile, residents of the West side are being urged to conserve water due to a problem at the wastewater plant.
