Left it in the seat pocket on the inbound flight. Approx 45 mins had elapsed since deplaning. Quickly ran to the service desk and they worked the phones, took my BP, enquired about my connecting flight and asked me to check back in a bit. While finishing up my meal, and less than 15 mins from when reported - the same CSO from the desk walked directly up to me in the dining room and handed my my e-reader. Incredible. I stopped by later to grab a feedback form to fill out.

Connecting on to CX 542 up to HND in Y as well was slightly delayed and pretty full. Had the standard greetings and Evian - drink and meal service was spotty, seemed to me the crew on my side was new and being directed by the ISM. As they got to me for the meal, the ISM knocked the box of tomato juice over and it started spilling all over the side of my seat and got on my clothes a bit. This could have been way worse, mind you, and the crew was super responsive with tons of hot towels and lined my seat with a blanket. About 10 minutes later the ISM returned with 2 USD 50 service vouchers, which I thought was almost too much. My clothes were barely touched, and was able to clean off with the towels. She insisted, and offered champagne or wine etc, but I declined. Really a very kind and proactive ISM on this unfortunate but not terrible accident.

As it could have been much worse (in the lap!) I was not torn up about it at all and appreciated all the great service during the day. For all I complain, CX still comes through and I'm glad to be riding them.
Had a similar experience with your first one. I left my wallet in the shower room in The Bridge. Immediately after shower, I left the lounge and headed to my gate, which is in the 40s, so pretty close. When the gate agent scanned my BP, they immediately told me to head back The Bridge as they found a missing item of mine. Of course, I ran back and at the reception, they gave my wallet back to me, confirmed that I didn't miss anything, and of course checked my passport. They then insisted on escorting me back to the gate even though I said no need. I am amazed because I'm pretty sure less than 5 minutes passed between the time I left my shower room and my arrival at the gate.
