That's really hard to say. It depends on how much more difficult carry on vs. checking the bags is for you vs. the 10 to 20 or so minutes that you will save. I fly int'l through MIA 15 or more times per year, and I still have that debate with myself almost every time. Though, lately I find that I go with the carry on option more often than not.
