Stayed here last week and was upgraded to a Deluxe room automatically and (with some prodding) to a 1 bedroom executive suite at check in. Platinum breakfast was very good but the $25/pp does not cover alcohol so that was a bummer. I think it was a good use of a 35K cert for an early morning flight but their cash prices are a bit silly. It's pretty clear with the constant stream of flight crews that their ADR isn't that high so I wish their wouldn't soak guests that stay on their own dime.
Just hazarding a guess alongside my own odd experience with housekeeping knocking at like 8PM, but it sounds like they've got a
lot of contract business (at sane, probably fixed) rates and are trying to make up some ground by hosing folks with bad flight times.
