It has been almost 10 years since I have taken an AA flight. I was a loyal US Chairman's member prior to merger, and then UA 1K for several years, and currently DL Diamond after status matching mid-2017, so my memories of AA are based on old data.

I needed to take this flight tonight as I have a meeting tomorrow in Plano that has the potential to set me and my company for years and AA had the right timing for return tomorrow so there was just no way around it. I paid for F per usual, and although I had low expectations, I've even had those beaten in the wrong direction. Service was, in a word, surly. I thanked the FAs every time I was brought something, and never once did I get an acknowledgement. They just stopped as long as necessary to drop things off and run off. I also had a drink set down on my laptop after dinner. Food was a step above terrible on top of its presentation (which I could have forgiven if the food had been tasty).
Is this normal these days for AA domestic F?
