Technically, the flight needs to be marketed and operated for it to receive credit, per AS T&Cs, but there have been multiple exceptions to this.
I guess what I'd try here would be to not put any FF# onto the flights. Make sure you get physical, paper tickets, boarding passes, receipts, etc. for all flights and keep them. You may need them when filing your FF claim afterward.
You could then apply for credit on AS for the AS flight, and AA for the JL flight.
If you really want AS miles - you could also try to apply for AS credit on the JL flight and see if they let it through - if they say no then you can submit it with AA or JL.
