He'd be well within his rights to hold that view To be honest I've taken flights where the only thing I care about is sleep on a flat bed. Where I haven't been able to make use of lounges food/drink offerings. Would that be a satisfactory response for you, or would you insist that he has to ascribe value to those elements?
