What utter piffle. The next time they try that, just ask them to call someone from lower deck to escort you, if that fails ask for the CSD or the lower deck Purser, if the CSD is on rest. From lower to upper is one story, if they know you and if you have made yourself known then there really will not be a fuss. On the one hand we ask people to move about and on the other we don't let them do it. Get yourself escorted - what is it with some crews. I know the rules but for Heaven's Sake are we going to end up as paranoid as those looney tune AA Capts that demanded that people had to be escorted to the lav (as reported here).
