That works too. Actually I value AS miles at about 2x UA miles so it's a wash in terms of cost. Unless I want to stop in HKG, the direct routing would be better. Also, I've never flown ANA, and I've heard good things.

I'll definitely keep this routing in mind, though. So, thanks. I could also mix and match and do Australia-TYO on NH and TYO-India on JL. 55k UA + 25k AS.
