You must have missed a recent app update or two. The redesigned app (mid-March?) initially didn't show Globalists re-qualifying at 55. That's now been fixed, as of an update within the last few days.

I agree there was some ambiguity, but it seems clear now that all benefits accrue at 55 nights for re-qualifying Globalists. Hyatt was likely to have some angry customers, otherwise.
