Apologies if this has been addressed before but I haven't been able to find a solid answer.

DL Plat here. I need to travel to Germany this summer and my ideal routing would take me on DL direct (JFK > TXL) and back on AF (MUC > CDG > JFK).

Google prices the flight at $800 but only allows me to book via AF or KL directly - both would put me in a V Fare Code. None of the KL/AF options for the return are available on DL.com and DL only offers $1100+ options routing through DTW.

I understand I probably won't get complimentary C+ booking through AF/KL directly on the DL TATL leg but I have heard that there are some restrictions on V Fare (Deep Discount) booked via AF/KL and getting DL Credit. I am mostly concerned with MQMs vs. MQDs.
