I have used ITA Matrix for all my travel for many years now, but I want to go one-step deeper and I can't figure it out. I'm pasting my itin below, gracious for your help in advance.

LAX-MAD RT and ITA is routing me through SFO, AMS. But i want to route through JFK. I want LAX-JFK-MAD, then MAD-JFK-LAX.

If I price out LAX-JFK-MAD via multi-city, it prices out at $12k. If I price out LAX-JFK, then JFK-MAD it prices out at around $1k. Can I "nest" in ITA Matrix or no?

Any tips or tricks much appreciated.
