I think I’d stay here again just for the joy of a decent croissant.
Do they still have the "local artwork" in the lobby? I recall they did a very good job of basically making fun of themselves. When I was last there, they had paintings around the lobby depicting horrible local road construction scenes and had made a nice sculpture out of orange and black reflective construction cones. Montreal has to be the worst (by a very large margin) city in Canada for never-ending road construction, and I liked how they decided to wear that badge proudly! If it's really good croissants you want, that's another thing Montreal is good for, which hopefully all the local hotels have.
Besides Fairmont and Raffles properties, this hotel still remains the only Accor property I've ever stayed a night at. I went there once during the year the Fairmont QE was closed for their major reno. I also found it a decent hotel. Not terribly unique and seemed mostly business-oriented, but still a nice place.
