If you are flying United, the best seats in the house are in row 30, A&B or H&J. They are the exit row seats. However, you have to be 1P or 1K on United to book them in advance. Lots of room, easy to walk near the seat and stretch, fun to talk to FA when they are facing you on take offs and landings. The middle section of row 30 is for babies and families. If you want peace and quiet, stay away from there.
