What exactly is an unrestricted Y ticket? Fully refundable, sure, but should I also be able to change things like dates/times and routings (within reason, i.e. satellite-hub-hub-satellite)without having the ticket be reissued, it should get treated like an even exchange, right?

Specifically, I have a flight that takes me from GUM to MAJ (an island hopper stop) via HNL. Shouldn't I be able to change the GUM-HNL leg to GUM-NRT-HNL as this routing is offered when searching for GUM to HNL?
