I am a 2-is-better guy. The cabin behind is a J mini-cabin, so noise is almost non-existant. On the other hand, most noise heard in the F cabin in my experience are the FAs talking in the forward galley. Space away from there is therefore preferable. I also prefer 2 because it gives me time to see an FA approaching before they can see me blowing my nose and reduces foot traffic (if you're in 1, then FA walks past you every time they see the guy in 2). On the other hand, if you want lots of drink top ups without using call button, maybe that's better for you
