If you log into your acct and go into Manage my Booking, if there is an offer you will clearly see it when the reservation comes up. You will also see it on the BA phone app, but the Upgrade function doesn't seem to work there, at least on the Android version of the app.
You can also ask at the desk when you check in, but in my experience the prices are (slightly) better if you do it on line. Which route are you flying - there is a whole thread on this topic of "POUG" (just search it, or I think this is the link:
