If you are in town on Thursday evening come and meet your fellow FTers for drinks at T’CAFE at the T38 Observation Deck of the JR Tower which is connected to JR Sapporo Station. There is an entrance charge of 720 yen (620 yen if over 60) to the observation deck but once up on the 38th floor the price of drinks seems very reasonable. Although called a cafe they do serve alcoholic drinks!

Those staying at (or near) the Holiday Inn can meet in the lobby and travel to T38 by subway as a group. We will leave promptly at 6:30pm. Please remember to bring your IC card (e.g. Suica).

If weather permits you will be able to see a view of Sapporo like this from the tallest building in Hokkaido.

How to get to T38

Entrance to JR Tower - the sign on the wall reads “Sapporo Cinema Frontier”




Enter the shopping mall “Stellar Place”. It’s in three parts “West” “Center” and “East” separates by two Station concourses. At the eastern end of Stellar Place Center find a Starbucks. Take an elevator next to the Starbucks to the 6th floor




Follow the signs for “JR Tower Observatory T38”




T38 ticket office may be found next to a Muji (無印良品) shop
