That's basically a monopoly for them. They don't have much incentive to spend anything extra. At least they give you a lie-flat.
The food was surprisingly uninspired and I had to make my own cocktails with the bottles delivered to me. Wine glasses ran out early. But the bed was sure nice....
I really liked the food on UA. It was kind of simple but unless you have a varied menu (several different options) I think that's a good thing. AS is trying to be too creative and the food is very polarizing -- people either love it or hate it. I end up just bringing my own most of the time because the one meat dish usually has some ingredient that means that I won't eat it. (also -- airport food has gotten pretty good in most places) The cheese tray good though, so it makes for a nice side/dessert. Of course you have to pre-order it, because they won't bring you one from the back without charging you the BoB price.
